Esther 5:3

And the king said to her, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you, even to the half of my kingdom.”

Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.” And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you.”

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask what I shall give you.”

Then the king said to me, “For what do you make request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.

And Esther said, “If it please the king, let the king and Haman come this day to a dinner that I have prepared for the king.”

And as they were drinking wine, the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It shall be granted you. And what is your request? Even to the half of my kingdom, it shall be fulfilled.”

And on the second day, as they were drinking wine, the king again said to Esther, “What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted you. And what is your request? Even to the half of my kingdom, it shall be fulfilled.”

And the king said to Queen Esther, “In Susa the capital the Jews have slain five hundred men and also the ten sons of Haman. What then have they done in the rest of the king's provinces! Now what is your petition? It shall be granted you. And what further is your request? It shall be fulfilled.”

And he vowed to her, “Whatever you ask me, I will give you, even half of my kingdom.”

“What do you want me to do for you?” He said, “Lord, let me receive my sight.”

The tribune took him by the hand, and going aside asked him privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?”
