And after five days the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a spokesman, one Tertullus. They laid before the governor their case against Paul;

and when he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying: “Since through you we enjoy much peace, and since by your provision, most excellent Felix, reforms are introduced on behalf of this nation,

and when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews gave information about him, asking for sentence against him.

And the chief priests and the principal men of the Jews informed him against Paul; and they urged him,

When I came to you, brethren, I did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God in lofty words or wisdom.

and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
