Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.
Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,
and Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, and Manasseh the father of Amos, and Amos the father of Josiah,
My people—children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, your leaders mislead you, and confuse the course of your paths.
And I will make boys their princes, and babes shall rule over them.
Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child, and your princes feast in the morning!
And Hezekiah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the ascent of the tombs of the sons of David; and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem did him honor at his death. And Manasseh his son reigned in his stead.
And I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, did in Jerusalem.
