And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil.” And Jehoshaphat said, “Let not the king say so.”

Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless, and the wicked seek his life.

Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.

Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you; reprove a wise man, and he will love you.

rescue me from sinking in the mire; let me be delivered from my enemies and from the deep waters.

and when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

But Jehoshaphat said, “Is there not here another prophet of the Lord of whom we may inquire?”

Then the king of Israel summoned an officer and said, “Bring quickly Micaiah the son of Imlah.”
