As for our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brethren, but it was not at all his will to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

But an opportunity came when Herod on his birthday gave a banquet for his courtiers and officers and the leading men of Galilee.

Now a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquent man, well versed in the scriptures.

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.

And as he argued about justice and self-control and future judgment, Felix was alarmed and said, “Go away for the present; when I have an opportunity I will summon you.”

What I mean is that each one of you says, “I belong to Paul,” or “I belong to Apollos,” or “I belong to Cephas,” or “I belong to Christ.”

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future, all are yours;

What then is Apollos? What is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each.

Do your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they lack nothing.

but when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,
