A son who gathers in summer is prudent, but a son who sleeps in harvest brings shame.

thus laying up for themselves a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of the life which is life indeed.

the ants are a people not strong, yet they provide their food in the summer;

How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep?

there will be enough goats' milk for your food, for the food of your household and maintenance for your maidens.
