An evil man is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, but the righteous escapes from trouble.

A fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to himself.

My son, if you have become surety for your neighbor, have given your pledge for a stranger;

then do this, my son, and save yourself, for you have come into your neighbor's power: go, hasten, and importune your neighbor.

The graven images of their gods you shall burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, or take it for yourselves, lest you be ensnared by it; for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.
