If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

We know that the same God who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us up with Jesus and present both you and us to himself.

Though we’re alive, we’re always threatened by death because we’re serving Jesus. This happens so that his life can be shown in our earthly bodies.

If the Spirit of God truly does live in you, you’re not ruled by your desires—you’re ruled by the Spirit. Anyone who doesn’t have the Spirit of Christ doesn’t belong to Christ.

By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us up too.

The law of the Spirit who gives life through Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.

He has the power to bring everything under his control, and by that power he’ll change our earthly bodies to become like his glorious body.

The Father raises the dead and gives them life; in the same way, the Son gives life to anyone he wishes.

But God raised him from the dead. He freed him from the agony of death, because death wasn’t able to keep hold of him.

So he gave us new life because of what Christ has done, even when we were dead in our sins. God’s grace has saved you.

But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the witnesses. They both stood up, and those who saw them were terrified.

Christ also suffered once for sins. Someone who did right suffered for those who did wrong, in order to bring you to God. Jesus was put to death in the body, but he was made alive in the Spirit.

That helper is the Spirit of truth. The world can’t accept him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you know him because he lives with you and will be in you.

the Living One. I was dead, but now look! I’m alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys to death and Hades.

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory. So your faith and hope are in God.

If the dead aren’t raised, then Christ hasn’t been raised either.

So don’t let sin rule over your mortal body and make you follow its wrong desires.

While we live in this tent of ours, we groan and feel weighed down. We don’t want our clothes to fall off. Instead, we want to be fully dressed with our heavenly home. That way the part of us that dies will be will swallowed up in life.

Therefore, those who belong to Christ Jesus are no longer under God’s judgment.

Brothers and sisters, we have a duty to not live the way our wrong desires would lead us.

Some people plant to please their wrong desires, and from those desires they’ll harvest death. Others plant to please the Spirit, and from the Spirit they’ll harvest eternal life.
