I’ve been crucified with Christ. I’m not the one living anymore. Christ is living in me. I do continue to live in this body, but I do that by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
I will be in them, just as you are in me, so that they may be brought together perfectly as one. Then the world will know that you sent me and that you have loved them just as you have loved me.
God has chosen to make known to them the glorious riches of that mystery among the Gentiles. And here’s what it is: Christ is in you, the hope of glory.
If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die as believers in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, and they’ll be rewarded for what they’ve done.”
You’ve come to a special community of people: God considers each and every one of them to be his firstborn child! Their names are written in heaven. You’ve come to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of godly people who’ve been made perfect.
The Lord himself will come down from heaven shouting a command, with the voice of the chief angel, and with a blast from God’s trumpet. Then those who believed in Christ but have already died will rise first.
Take a good look at yourselves to see if you really are believers. Test yourselves. Don’t you realize that Christ Jesus is in you? Unless, of course, you fail the test!
When sin ruled, it brought death. But when grace rules in the lives of those who are right with God, it brings eternal life. This is all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done.
Sin came into the world through one man, and death came into the world through that sin. As a result, death affected everyone. It was just as if every person had sinned.
But anyone who drinks the water I give them will never get thirsty. In fact, the water I give them will become a spring of water inside them bubbling up into eternal life.”
