Because of the one man who sinned, death ruled over all people. But because of another man, people will rule in life. That man is Jesus Christ, and he gives freely and abundantly to make people right with God.

Sin came into the world through one man, and death came into the world through that sin. As a result, death affected everyone. It was just as if every person had sinned.

Right now we’re like the earthly man, but one day we’ll be like the heavenly man.

A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so they may have life and have it in the fullest possible way.

If we endure, we’ll also rule with him. If we say we don’t know him, he’ll say he doesn’t know us.

There will be no more night. They won’t need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light. And they will rule for ever and ever.

Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection! The second death has no power over them. They will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will rule with him for 1,000 years.

I saw thrones, and those who had been given authority to judge were sitting on them. I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because they’d spoken the truth about Jesus and the word of God. They hadn’t worshiped the beast or its statue, and they hadn’t received its mark on their foreheads or hands. They came to life and ruled with Christ for 1,000 years.

‘If anyone wins the victory, I’ll give that person the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I won the victory and sat down with my Father on his throne.

But God chose you to be his own people, his royal priests, a holy nation, his special treasure. You’re all these things so that you can tell everyone how wonderful God is. He brought you out of darkness and into his marvelous light.

I want to belong to him, and I want to be right with God based not on my obedience to the law but on my faith in Christ.

Our Lord poured out more and more of his grace on me, along with faith and love from Christ Jesus.

My dear brothers and sisters, listen to me. Hasn’t God chosen those who are poor in the world’s eyes to be rich in faith? Hasn’t he chosen them to receive the kingdom that he promised to give to those who love him?

He has made us members of his royal family and priests who serve his God and Father. May he receive glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

You think you already have everything you need. You think you’ve already become rich and that you’ve begun to rule, even though we haven’t. I wish that you really had begun to rule. Then we’d be ruling with you!

When you worked for sin, the pay you got from it was death. But now you’re working for God because you’ve gotten a gift: eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

When the law was introduced, sin got worse, because now people were doing things that they knew were wrong. But when sin got worse, God poured out an even greater abundance of grace.

“Then the King will speak to those on his right and say, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, take what is yours. Receive the kingdom that has been prepared for you since the world was created.

heights, or depths, or anything else in all creation. That’s all because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done.

However, the gift is not like the crime. If many died because of one man's transgression, how much more abundant is the gift of God's grace, which is offered to many by one man, Jesus Christ.

Sin won’t control you anymore, because you’re not ruled by the law, you’re ruled by God’s grace.
