Anyone who sins without knowing God’s law will be judged on that basis. Anyone who sins even though they know God’s law will be judged by the law.

To those who don’t have the law, I became like one who didn’t have the law (even though I’m not free from God’s law, but under Christ’s law), in order to win those who don’t have the law.

All who rely on obeying the law are under a curse. It is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”

God did what the written law was not able to do, since it was weakened by our sinful desires. God sent his Son to be an offering for sin. He sent him in human form like those who are susceptible to sin. When God did this, he passed judgment against sin so that it could no longer control people through their wrong desires.

They know that God’s commands are right, and that people who do wrong things like this deserve to die. But they continue to do those things anyway, and they even approve of others who do them.

I tell you, on judgment day it will be better for Sodom than for you.”

If you keep all the rest of the law but break one part of it, you’re guilty of breaking all of it.

because the law brings God’s anger. But where there is no law, the law can’t be broken.

But I tell you this, on judgment day it will be better for Tyre and Sidon than for you.

But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised could be given through faith in Jesus Christ to those who believe.

Jesus answered, “You wouldn’t have any power over me if it hadn’t been given to you from heaven. So the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

Long ago God planned that Jesus would be handed over to you. With the help of those who didn’t know God’s law, and under the plan God spoke long ago, you put him to death by nailing him to a cross.
