So when you judge someone else, you don’t have any excuse. When you judge another person, you’re judging yourself, because you do the same things you blame others for doing.

“If you don’t judge other people, then you won’t be judged yourself. If you don’t condemn others, then you won’t be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

But you, a human being, are judging others for doing the same things you’re doing yourself. So how do you think you’ll escape when God judges you?

But who are you, a mere human being, to talk back to God? “Can a clay pot say to the one who made it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’ ”

My brothers and sisters, don’t say bad things about one another. Anyone who says something bad about a brother or sister is saying it about the law, and anyone who judges another believer is judging the law. When you judge the law, you’re not keeping it, you’re acting as if you were its judge.

You foolish person, do you want proof that faith that doesn’t take action is useless?

“His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words, you worthless slave! So you knew that I’m a hard man? You knew that I take out what I didn’t put in and that I harvest what I didn’t plant?

Wife, how do you know whether you will save your husband? Husband, how do you know whether you will save your wife?

Jesus answered, “Friend, who made me a judge or arbitrator between the two of you?”

We know that when God judges those who do wrong things, he judges fairly.

What should we say then? Do we Jews have any advantage? Not at all! We have already claimed that both Jews and Gentiles are under the power of sin.

Whatever you believe about these things, keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the person who doesn’t feel guilty for what they do.

So don’t judge anything before the appointed time. Wait until the Lord returns, and he will bring what’s now hidden in the dark out into the light. He’ll show the real reasons why people do what they do. At that time God will give each person the praise they deserve.
