Finally, I want all of you to agree with one another. Be understanding, love one another, be kind and tender, be humble.

Get along with one another. Don’t be proud, but be willing to befriend people who aren’t considered important. Don’t think you’re better than others.

and follow the path of love. That’s what Christ did. He loved us and gave himself up for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

Finally, brothers and sisters, be joyful! Work to make everything right with one another. Encourage one another and agree with each other. Live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

May the God who gives hope fill you with great joy and peace as you trust in him, and may you overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

I ask all of you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree with one another and not argue. Look and think about things in the same way.

I want to urge Euodia and Syntyche to work together in the Lord.

then make my joy complete by agreeing with one another. Have the same love and be unified in spirit and mind.

But no matter what happens, live in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you, I’ll know that you’re standing firm together in the one Spirit and that you’re fighting together as a unit to defend the good news.

Remember that while our Lord is waiting patiently to return, people are being saved. Our dear brother Paul also wrote to you about this with the wisdom that God gave him.

Just make sure that you live up to what you’ve already reached.

All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that anything they owned was theirs. Instead, they shared everything they had.

The Lord isn’t slow to keep his promise, not slow in the way some people understand it. Instead, he’s being patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be destroyed. He wants everyone to turn away from their sins.

Even Christ did not please himself. It is written, “The bad things people have said about you have also been aimed at me.”

These were the spirits of those who had disobeyed long before, when God was being patient while Noah built the ark. Only a few people, eight in all, were saved from the flood in the ark.

But God, who comforts those who are discouraged, comforted us by sending Titus.
