We all have different gifts, according to the grace God has given to each of us. If you have the gift of prophecy, then use it according to the faith you have.

I wish all of you were single like me. But each person has their own gift from God. One has the gift of being happily married, and another has the gift of being happily single.

By the grace that has been given to me, I say to every one of you, don’t think of yourself more highly than you should. Have a reasonable view of yourself, based on the faith God has given to each of you.

I’m eager to see you so that I can give you some spiritual gift that will make you strong.

If I have the gift of prophecy and can understand all the secret things of God and know everything about him, and if I have enough faith to move mountains, but I don’t have love, I’m nothing at all.

So Christ himself has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers as gifts to the church.

So follow the way of love, and be eager to have the gifts of the Spirit. Most of all, you should want the gift of prophecy.

Do you really want to give? Then your gift will be measured by what you have, not by what you don’t.

Don’t treat prophecies as if they didn’t matter,

Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should evaluate what they say.

Judas and Silas were prophets, and they said many things to encourage and strengthen the believers.

He said: “ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Holy Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams.

So all of us who are mature in the faith should see things this way. If you think differently about something, God will make that clear to you.

In the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers. Among them were Barnabas, Simeon (also called Niger), Lucius from Cyrene, and Manaen, who’d been brought up with Herod, the ruler of Galilee. Saul was among them too.

But God said in his wisdom, ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them; they will kill some and they will try to hurt others.’

I’m sending you prophets, wise people, and teachers. You’ll kill some of them by nailing them to a cross. You’ll whip others in your synagogues and chase them from town to town.

But if unbelievers or visitors come in while everyone is prophesying, they’ll feel as if they’re being questioned; the secrets of their hearts will be brought out into the open; and they’ll realize they’ve been doing wrong. Then they’ll fall down and worship God and exclaim, “God is really here among you!”

He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.

After all, what is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants who helped you to believe. The Lord has given each of us our own work to do.

God has placed each part in the body just as he wanted it to be.

Above all, here’s what you must understand. No prophecy in Scripture ever came from a prophet’s own interpretation of things.
