So Christ himself has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers as gifts to the church.

You also came to belong to Christ when you heard the message of truth, the good news about how you could be saved. When you believed, God stamped you with an official mark, the Holy Spirit that he promised.

I’ve made a fool of myself, but you forced me to. You should have been the ones to praise me. I’m not the least bit inferior to the “super-apostles,” even though I’m nothing.

I don’t think I’m the least bit inferior those “super-apostles.”

The message we preach isn’t about ourselves. It’s about Jesus Christ as Lord, and about ourselves as your servants for his sake.

I’m not ashamed of the good news. It’s the power of God that can save everyone who believes, first the Jews and then also the Gentiles.

“Then the Lord said to me, ‘Go, I’m sending you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”

I fell to the ground and heard a voice speaking to me. ‘Saul! Saul!’ it said. ‘Why are you attacking me?’

But I’m not going to try to save my own life. My only goal is to finish the race and complete the work that the Lord Jesus has given me, to tell others the good news about God’s grace.

But he told me, “Stop! I’m a servant of God, just like you and the other prophets and everyone who obeys the words of this book. Worship God!”

God appointed me to serve the church and bring the entire word of God to you.

God is able to strengthen you through the good news, which is the message I preach about Jesus Christ. There was a mystery that had been kept hidden for a very long time.

because people like that are serving their own appetites, not our Lord Jesus Christ. With smooth talk and flattery they fool people who don’t know any better.

I don’t call you slaves anymore, because slaves don’t know their master’s plans. Instead, I’ve called you friends, because I’ve told you everything I’ve learned from my Father.

Anyone who serves me must follow me. Where I am, my servant will also be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord is the God who gives messages to the prophets, and he has sent his angel to show his servants the things that must take place soon.”

A high priest like him truly meets our needs. He’s holy, blameless, and pure, and he has been lifted up high above the heavens. He’s different from people who sin.

We fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew language, ‘Saul! Saul! Why are you attacking me? You’re only hurting yourself when you resist me.’

The commander told him he could, so Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the crowd. When they quieted down, he began to speak to them in the Hebrew language.

Remember what I told you: ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If people have hated me and tried to hurt me, they will do the same to you. If they have obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours too.

After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, and there he preached the good news of God.

When I went to Troas to preach the good news about Christ, I found that the Lord had opened a door of opportunity for me.

I preached God’s good news to you free of charge. When I did that, I was humbling myself in order to lift you up. Was that a sin?

We loved you so much that we were happy to share with you not just God’s good news, but our own lives as well.

Brothers and sisters, I’m sure you remember how hard we worked. We labored night and day while we preached God’s good news to you so that we wouldn’t cause you any expense.

It’s time for judgment to begin with God’s household. And if it begins with us, what will happen to people who don’t obey the good news of God?
