I looked, and there in front of me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion. He had 144,000 people with him, and they had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.
The first angel blew his trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were thrown down onto the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all of the green grass was burned up.
Then I heard what sounded like a voice coming from among the four living creatures. It said, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s pay, and six pounds of barley for a day’s pay, but don’t damage the olive oil or the wine!”
After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth. They were holding back the four winds of the earth and keeping them from blowing on the land or the sea or on any tree.
