After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth. They were holding back the four winds of the earth and keeping them from blowing on the land or the sea or on any tree.
He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his chosen people from the north, south, east, and west—from one end of the sky to the other.
Then I heard what sounded like a voice coming from among the four living creatures. It said, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s pay, and six pounds of barley for a day’s pay, but don’t damage the olive oil or the wine!”
The first angel blew his trumpet, and hail and fire mixed with blood were thrown down onto the earth. A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all of the green grass was burned up.
He’ll go out to deceive the nations that are in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—and he’ll gather them together for battle. They’ll have as many troops as the grains of sand on the seashore.
