Once more Jesus said to them, “I’m going away. You will look for me, and you will die in your sin. You can’t come where I’m going.”

Huge hailstones weighing about 100 pounds each fell from the sky and crushed anyone they hit. People spoke curses against God because the plague of hail was so terrible.

There will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and God’s servants will serve him there.

But through Christ’s death, God has brought you back to himself and made you holy in his own sight. So now you don’t have any flaws and you’re free from blame.

That way you’ll be the children of your Father who is in heaven. He causes his sun to shine on bad people and good people, and he sends rain on those who do right and those who don’t.
