He held seven stars in his right hand. A sharp sword with two edges was coming out of his mouth. His face was like the sun shining in all its brightness.
The word of God is alive and active. It’s even sharper than any sword that has two edges. It penetrates deep inside us, to where the bones meet the joints and where the soul meets the spirit, until it reveals the thoughts and intentions of our hearts.
The rest of their army was killed by the sword that came out of the rider’s mouth. And the birds feasted on their dead bodies until they couldn’t eat any more.
The rider has a sharp sword coming out of his mouth. He’ll use it to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He crushes the grapes in the winepress of the terrible anger of God Almighty.
The voice said, “Write what you see on a scroll and send it to the seven churches in Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.”
“Write this to the angel of the church in Ephesus: These are the words of the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands.
