Don’t be afraid of what you’re going to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you’ll be mistreated for ten days. Be faithful, even if you have to die, and I’ll give you life as your victory crown.

Blessed is the person who keeps going when times are difficult. After they’ve made it through these times, they’ll receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to give to those who love him.

Everyone will hate you because of me. But anyone who stands firm to the end will be saved.

When the Chief Shepherd returns, you’ll receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.

We’re not fighting against human beings, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world.

‘I know that you’re suffering and that you’re poor—but you’re rich! I know how you’re being insulted by people who claim to be Jews but aren’t. They’re a synagogue of Satan.

But anyone who remains strong in the faith will be saved.

Be alert and stay sober. Your enemy the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for something to kill and eat.

Everyone who competes in the games trains hard. They do that to get a crown that won’t last. But we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body but can’t kill the soul. Instead, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

The beast was allowed to fight a war against the saints and defeat them. It was given authority over every tribe, race, language, and nation.

You were following the ways of this world and serving the one who rules over the spiritual forces of evil. That’s the spirit who’s still at work in those who aren’t obeying God.

They were having their evening meal. The devil had already put in the mind of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, the scheme of handing Jesus over to his enemies.

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, but anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it and gain eternal life.

“But before all this, people will arrest you and systematically oppress you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison. You will be brought to kings and governors. All this will happen to you because of my name,

Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the good news will save it.

The beast I saw looked like a leopard, but it had feet like a bear and a mouth like a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.

He asked, “Why are you crying? Why are you breaking my heart? I’m ready to be put in prison. I’m even ready to die in Jerusalem for the Lord Jesus.”

But I’m not going to try to save my own life. My only goal is to finish the race and complete the work that the Lord Jesus has given me, to tell others the good news about God’s grace.

As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, “Do quickly what you’re going to do.”

‘I know that even though you live where Satan has his throne, you’re still faithful to me. You didn’t give up your faith even in the days of Antipas, my faithful witness, who was put to death in your city, where Satan lives.

The first beast had given the second beast the power to perform these signs, and by these signs, the second beast tricked those who live on the earth. The second beast ordered people to set up a statue to honor the first beast. The first beast was the one who’d been wounded by a sword but had survived.

They’ll fight a war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will win the victory over them. That’s because he’s the most powerful Lord of all and the greatest King of all. His appointed, chosen, and faithful followers will be with him.”
