As a prisoner of the Lord, I ask you to live a life worthy of the purposes God has chosen you to fulfill.

So we are Christ’s official messengers. It’s as if God were making his appeal through us. So we beg you, on Christ’s behalf: Come back to God!

Because God has shown you such mercy, brothers and sisters, I ask you to offer up your bodies to God while you are still alive. That will be a sacrifice that is holy and pleasing to God. It’s the right kind of worship to offer God.

I, Paul, am in prison because of my work on behalf of you Gentiles. That’s how I’m serving Christ Jesus.

Dear friends, in this world you’re outsiders who are living away from their land. So don’t give in to your wrong desires, which fight against your soul.

I particularly ask you to pray that I’ll be able to come back to you soon.

As people who work together with God, we ask you not to receive God’s grace and then do nothing with it.

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.

Because of the good news, I’m being held in chains as the Lord’s messenger. So pray that I will preach the good news boldly, as I should.

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord for giving me strength and for considering me faithful and appointing me to serve him.

Tell the older men to be restrained, worthy of respect, and self-controlled. Tell them to have genuine faith, love, and endurance.
