When Jesus came ashore, he found a large crowd. He felt deep concern for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began to teach them many things.

When Jesus got to shore, he found a large crowd waiting for him. Moved with compassion for them, he healed their sick people.

Then Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I’m concerned for these people because they’ve already been with me for three days and they’ve run out of food to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, because if I do, they may be too weak to make it back home.”

Jesus answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”

He’s able to deal gently with people who don’t realize what they’re doing and go astray, because he himself is weak.

We don’t have a high priest who can’t feel what we feel when we’re weak. Instead, we have a high priest who has been tempted in every way just as we are, but without sinning.

Instead, go to the lost sheep of Israel.

“I’m very concerned for these people. They’ve already been with me for three days, and they’ve run out of things to eat.
