Off in the distance a large herd of pigs was feeding.

A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs. He allowed this.
“Don’t give holy things to dogs, and don’t throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may stomp all over them and then turn around and tear you to pieces.
“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “It’s not time for us to be punished yet!”
The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into that herd of pigs.”
