Truly I tell you, heaven and earth will disappear before the smallest letter disappears from the Law. Not even the smallest mark of a pen will disappear until everything the Law says happens.

but the word of the Lord lasts forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

“When you give to people in need, don’t announce it by having trumpets blown in front of you. That’s what the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets because they want people to notice them. Truly I tell you, that’s all the reward they’ll get.

Truly I tell you, then you won’t get out until you’ve paid the very last penny!

Truly I tell you, when you were younger, you dressed yourself and went wherever you wanted to go. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will dress you and lead you where you don’t want to go.”

When that time comes, you won’t ask me anything anymore. Truly I tell you, my Father will give you anything you ask for in my name.

Truly I tell you, you’re going to weep and mourn while the world is full of joy. You’ll be sad, but your sadness will turn into joy.

Truly I tell you, anyone who believes in me will do the works that I’ve been doing. In fact, they’ll do even greater things, because I’m going to the Father.

Then Jesus answered, “Will you really give your life for me? Truly I tell you, before the rooster crows early tomorrow morning, you’re going to say three times that you don’t know me!

Truly I tell you, a slave is not greater than his master. A messenger isn’t greater than the one who sends him.

Truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

So Jesus said again, “Truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep.

“Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t enter the sheep pen through the gate, but who climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am.”

Truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never die.”

Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, unless you eat the Son of Man’s flesh and drink his blood, you don’t have any life in you.

Truly I tell you, everyone who believes has eternal life.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, it isn’t Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, it’s my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.

Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, you’re not looking for me because you saw the signs I did. You’re looking for me because you ate as much bread as you wanted.

Truly I tell you, we speak about what we know, and we’re witnesses about what we’ve seen. But you people still don’t accept our testimony.

Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they’re born of water and the Spirit.

Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they’re born again.”

Then he said to the disciples, “Truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending’ on the Son of Man.”

Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “if anyone has left their home or wife or husband or brothers or sisters or parents or children for God’s kingdom,

Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t receive God’s kingdom like a little child will never enter it.”

Look, your house is left empty. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.’ ”

Truly I tell you, if that master finds his servants watching for him when he comes, he’ll do something special for them. He’ll dress to serve them, have them take their places at the table, and come and wait on them.

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus responded, “tonight—before the rooster crows twice—you’ll claim three times that you don’t know me.”

Truly I tell you, I won’t drink wine with you again until the day I drink it in the kingdom of God.”

While they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, one of you who is eating with me will hand me over to my enemies.”

Truly I tell you, what she has done will be told wherever the good news is preached all over the world, and she will be remembered.”

Jesus called over his disciples and said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the offering box than all the others.

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go and throw yourself into the sea,’ if they don’t doubt in their heart but believe that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

“Truly I tell you,” Jesus responded, “anyone who has left home or family or fields for me and the good news

Truly I tell you, anyone who doesn’t receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly receive a reward.

Then Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not die before they’ve seen the kingdom of God come with power.”

He sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, it won’t be given any sign.”

If the people of any place don’t welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet as a witness against them.”

Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven for every kind of sin and insult,

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you failed to do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you failed to do for me.’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

“But the groom replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

Truly I tell you, the master will put that slave in charge of everything he owns.

“Do you see all this?” Jesus asked. “Truly I tell you, there won’t be one stone left here on top of another. Every building will be torn down, to the last stone.”

Truly I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for all of it.

“Which of the two sons did what his father wanted?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes will enter the kingdom of God ahead of you.

Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do what was done to the fig tree. You can even say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, when all things are made new and the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, then you who have followed me will also sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it’s very difficult for someone who’s rich to enter the kingdom of heaven.

“Truly I tell you, what you tie up on earth will be tied up in heaven, and what you set free on earth will be set free in heaven.

Jesus then said, “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you’ll never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Truly I tell you, no one greater than John the Baptist has ever been born in this world. But the one who’s least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he is.

And if someone even gives a cup of cold water to a little one who follows me, truly I tell you, that person will be rewarded.”

Truly I tell you, on judgment day it will be easier for Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. He said to the people following him, “Truly I tell you, I haven’t met anyone in Israel whose faith is this great.

“When you go without eating, don’t look all sad like the hypocrites. They make strange faces so that people will notice that they’re fasting. Truly I tell you, that’s all the reward they’ll get.

“Truly I tell you,” he continued, “a prophet is not accepted in his own hometown.
