Christ has fulfilled everything the law was meant to do, so now there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

It’s easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest part of a letter to drop out of the Law.

Instead, we are now able to do all the right things that the law requires, because we’re not controlled by those desires. We’re controlled by the Spirit.

So then, are we setting the law aside through faith? Not at all! We’re upholding the law.

In everything, do to others what you would want them to do to you. That sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Jesus answered, “Please agree to this. It’s right for us to do everything that God is asking of people now.” So then John agreed.

and made this charge against him: “This man is trying to get people to worship God in ways that the law of Moses doesn’t allow.”

They found witnesses who were willing to lie about him. The witnesses said, “This man never stops speaking against this holy temple and against the Law of Moses.

In the Law, Moses commanded us to kill women who commit adultery by throwing stones at them. But what do you say?”

shouting, “Fellow Israelites, help us! This is the man who goes to everyone everywhere and teaches against our people, our law, and this holy place. He has even brought Greeks into this temple and made our holy place unclean.”
