“Don’t be distressed,” he said. “You’re looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He’s not here! He has risen! Look, this is where his body was.

Jesus then began to teach his disciples that the Son of Man would have to suffer a lot. He told them that the elders, chief priests, and teachers of the law would reject him. He said that he would be killed, but that after three days he would rise again.

The reason my Father loves me is that I give up my life. But I will get it back again.

But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. He bent over and saw the strips of linen lying by themselves. Then he went away, wondering what had happened.
