The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you’re looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
Aren’t all the angels spirits that God sends to serve those who will inherit salvation?
The women were terrified and bowed down with their faces to the ground. But the men said to them, “Why are you looking for the living among the dead?
But he said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Mary. God has chosen to do something wonderful through you.
“Don’t be distressed,” he said. “You’re looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He’s not here! He has risen! Look, this is where his body was.
Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They’ll see me there.”
But Jesus called out to them right away, “Don’t worry; it’s me! Don’t be afraid.”
The guards were so afraid of him that they trembled and became limp, as if they were dead.
But God raised him from the dead. He freed him from the agony of death, because death wasn’t able to keep hold of him.
