Jesus’ mother was standing near his cross, as was his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

When Jesus rose from the dead early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene. (He had driven seven demons out of her.)

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where Jesus’ body was placed.

After the Sabbath day was over, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came back to the tomb.

Mary Magdalene went and told the disciples, “I have seen the Lord!” Then she told them that he’d said these things to her.

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb. She saw that the stone had been moved away from the entrance.

Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them were the ones who told this to the apostles.

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary stayed there a while longer, sitting opposite the tomb.

Isn’t he the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas his brothers?

and so were some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses. One was Mary Magdalene; seven demons had come out of her.
