Two men who had rebelled against Rome were crucified with him, one on his right and the other on his left.
There they nailed Jesus to the cross. Two other men were crucified with him, one on each side of him, with Jesus in the middle.
The rebels who were being crucified with Jesus also insulted him in the same way.
It is written, ‘He was counted among those who had committed crimes.’ I tell you that what is written about me must come true. In fact, it is already coming true.”
Above his head they placed a written charge against him. It read, this is Jesus, the king of the jews.
