He went off a little distance and got down on the ground face first. He prayed, “My Father, if possible, please take this cup of suffering away from me. But let your will be done, not mine.”

I haven’t come down from heaven to do my own will; I’ve come to do the will of the one who sent me.

He appeared on earth as a man, and he humbled himself and obeyed God completely. He did this even though it led to his death. Even worse, he died on a cross!

Jesus went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it isn’t possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, then may your will be done.”

False messiahs and false prophets will appear, and they’ll do great signs and miracles. They’ll even try to trick God’s chosen people if they can.

When I heard this, I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I’m God’s servant, just like you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to what Jesus taught. Worship God! The Spirit of prophecy tells the truth about Jesus.”

When Peter entered the house, Cornelius welcomed him, and as a sign of respect, he fell at Peter’s feet.

He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. This man was a Samaritan.

Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself. He can do only what he sees his Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does,
