“Be dressed and ready to serve and keep your lamps burning,

But the promise of entering God’s rest is still open. So I want you all to be careful not to miss it.

Some people claim that they’re Jews, but they’re not. They’re lying. They’re a synagogue of Satan. I’m going to make those people come and fall down at your feet and admit in public that I have loved you.

So the rich man called out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me! Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I’m in terrible pain in this fire.’

Therefore, listen carefully. If someone has something, they will be given more. But if someone has nothing, even what they think they have will be taken away from them.”

Don’t think you’re safe just because you can say, ‘We come from Abraham.’ I tell you, God can raise up children for Abraham even from these stones.

Then Simon answered, “Pray to the Lord for me that nothing you’ve said will happen to me.”

“This is what the kingdom of heaven will be like at that time. Ten bridesmaids took their lamps and went outside the bride’s house to wait for the groom to come and get her.

“Then all the bridesmaids woke up and got their lamps ready.

“ ‘No,’ they answered, ‘because there might not be enough for all of us. Go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
