When Jesus turned around and saw them following, he asked, “What do you want?” “Rabbi,” they answered, “where are you staying?” (Rabbi means Teacher.)

Peter remembered what had happened the day before, and he said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you put a curse on has dried up!”

As he taught, he said, “Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in long robes, to be greeted with respect in the marketplace,

Judas went right over to Jesus and said, “Rabbi!” Then he kissed him.

“Woe to you Pharisees! You love the most important seats in the synagogues, and you love having people greet you with respect in the marketplace.

Meanwhile, his disciples were telling him, “Rabbi, eat something!”

His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, was this man born blind because he sinned, or was it because his parents sinned?”

“Rabbi,” they objected, “the Jews there were just trying to kill you with stones. And now you want to go back?”
