So make sure that you don’t disobey the one who’s speaking to you now. If they didn’t escape when they disobeyed the one who warned them on earth, how much less will we escape if we disobey the one who’s warning us from heaven!

When harvest time came, he sent his slaves to the renters to collect his share of the fruit.

Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the groom be sad while he’s with them? The time will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

That’s why Christ is the mediator of a new covenant. Now the people that God has called to himself can receive the eternal gift he promised. They can receive it because Christ has died to pay the price and set them free from the sins they committed under the first covenant.
