When the disciples heard this, they were amazed and asked, “Then who can be saved?”

Scripture says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

“If that time were not cut short, no one would survive. But because of God’s chosen people, it will be shortened.

“If the Lord hadn’t decided to shorten that time, no one would survive it. But because of God’s chosen people, he has shortened it.

Again I tell you, it’s easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who’s rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

Jesus looked at them and said, “With people, it’s impossible, but with God, all things are possible.”
