Then the boat the disciples were in was a long way from land. It started being pounded by the waves, because the wind was blowing against it.
A strong wind was blowing, and the waves became rough.
He saw the disciples pulling hard on the oars, because the wind was blowing against them. Shortly before dawn, he went out to them, walking on the lake. He was about to pass by them, but when
suddenly a terrible storm began. The wind was so strong that waves came crashing over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
From there we headed out to sea again and went along the calmer side of Cyprus because the winds were against us.
