So from that day on, the Jewish rulers planned to kill Jesus.

They tried again to arrest him, but he escaped from them.

After he said that, the Jewish leaders wanted even more to kill him, because he wasn’t just breaking the law for the Sabbath day. He was calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law got very angry. They began to talk to one another about what they could do to Jesus.

But the Pharisees went out and began to make plans with the Herodians to kill Jesus.

They made plans to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.

The chief priests and Pharisees had ordered that anyone who found out where Jesus was staying had to report it so they could arrest him.

Early in the morning, all the chief priests and elders of the people met to plan how to put Jesus to death.

When the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, the chief priests and the teachers of the law got together to make plans to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.

The chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for a way to get rid of Jesus, because they were afraid of the people.

When he said this, they tried to arrest him. But no one laid a hand on him because his time hadn’t come yet.

The Pharisees heard the crowd whispering things like this about him. So the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards to arrest him.

Some wanted to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him.

When he said that, they picked up stones to kill him. But Jesus slipped out of sight and left the temple area.

Once again the Jewish leaders picked up stones to kill him.
