Look at the birds of the air. They don’t plant or harvest crops, and they don’t put grain away in barns. But your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than they are?

Then Jesus said to them, “What does the Law say we should do on the Sabbath day? Should we do good, or should we do evil? Should we save life, or should we destroy it?”

Then Jesus asked everyone, “What does the Law say we should do on the Sabbath day? Should we do good, or should we do evil? Should we save life, or should we kill?” But no one said anything.

So don’t be afraid; you’re worth more than many sparrows.

Think about the ravens: They don’t plant or gather crops—they don’t have any barns at all—but God feeds them. You’re worth much more than birds!

One Sabbath day, Jesus went to eat in the house of a well-known Pharisee. While he was there, he was being carefully watched.
