But when they opposed Paul and treated him badly, he shook out his clothes in protest. He told them, “God’s judgment against you will be your own fault! Don’t blame me for it! From now on, I will go to the Gentiles.”

Paul and Barnabas shook the dust off their feet to protest against the people who’d opposed them, and then they went on to Iconium.

The people in some places may not welcome you; if they don’t, leave and shake the dust off your feet. This will be a witness against the people living there.”

If the people of any place don’t welcome you or listen to you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet as a witness against them.”

If anyone refuses to accept this teaching, they’re not rejecting a human being. They’re rejecting God, the very same God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me, and whoever who accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”

“Anyone who welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.”

And anyone who welcomes a child like this one in my name welcomes me.

Then he told them, “Anyone who welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. The one who is considered least important among you is the most important of all.”

If the home deserves it, your peace will rest upon it; if it doesn’t deserve it, your peace will return to you.
