This is how Jesus the Messiah was born. His mother Mary had promised to marry a man named Joseph. But before they lived together, she became pregnant. This happened by the power of the Holy Spirit, but Joseph didn’t know that.

After this Herod died, and Joseph, who was still in Egypt, had a dream. An angel of the Lord appeared to him

Because Joseph was from the family line of David, he went from Nazareth in Galilee to Judea so he could register there in Bethlehem, the town of David.

The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you’re looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

But when he learned that Archelaus had succeeded his father Herod as king of Judea, he was afraid to go there. He was warned in a dream, and he went back to the land of Galilee instead.

After the wise men had left, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up!” the angel said. “Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt! Stay there until I tell you to come back, because Herod is going to try to find the child and kill him.”

But because they were warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by a different way.

Pilate also wanted to release Jesus because he’d gotten a message from his wife while he was judging the case. The message said, “Don’t do anything to that man. He’s innocent. I had a terrible nightmare about him last night.”

But during the night an angel of the Lord came and opened the doors of the jail and let the apostles out.

Let’s celebrate and be happy! Let’s give him glory! It’s time for the Lamb’s wedding, and his bride has put on her dress.
