Jesus left there and went to his hometown of Nazareth. His disciples came with him.

There he lived in a town called Nazareth. The prophets had said that Jesus would be called a Nazarene, and in this way their words came true.

As he scattered it, some fell on a path and the birds came and ate it up.

Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own town, among his relatives and in his own home.”
