News about him spread all over Syria, and they brought him everyone who was ill with any kind of sicknesses. Some were suffering great pain, while others were controlled by demons. Some were shaking wildly, and others couldn’t move at all. Jesus healed every one of them.

Some men brought him one of their friends who couldn’t walk and was lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, “Don’t be discouraged, son. Your sins are forgiven.”

Right away Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things?

But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So Jesus said to the man who couldn’t walk,

Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
