“Crucify him!” they shouted.
“Then what should I do with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them.
“Why? What has he done wrong?” asked Pilate. But they shouted even more loudly, “Crucify him!”
The people and their rulers had no reason at all for sentencing Jesus to death. Still, they asked Pilate to have him killed.
But they kept shouting, “Crucify him! Crucify him!”
