Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t any of you keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter.

Think about how he endured such opposition from sinners, so that you don’t get worn out and give up.

The groom was expected that evening, but when he didn’t come for a long time, all the bridesmaids grew tired and fell asleep.

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup of suffering away from me. Not what I want, though. Do what you want.”
