So he isn’t the God of the dead; he’s the God of the living. You don’t even know where to start!”
Christ died and came back to life in order to become the Lord of both the dead and the living.
As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations.” The God Abraham believed in considers him to be our father. This is the God who gives life to the dead and creates things that didn’t exist before.
Jesus answered, “You’re going wrong here because you don’t know the Scriptures and you don’t know the power of God.
That’s why I was angry with them and said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, they haven’t known my ways.’
Jesus replied, “You’re going wrong here because you don’t know the Scriptures and you don’t know the power of God.
‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ He isn’t the God of the dead; he’s the God of the living.”
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, because in his eyes, everyone is alive.”
