When evening came, Jesus and his disciples left the city.
Each day Jesus taught at the temple, and each evening he went to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives.
Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courtyard. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went back out to Bethany with the 12 disciples.
While you have the light, believe in it, so that you can become children of light.” When Jesus had finished speaking, he left and hid from them.
Then Jesus left them and went out of the city to spend the night in Bethany.
