The disciples James and John saw this and asked, “Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to destroy them?”

One of the beast’s heads seemed to have had a deadly wound, but the wound had been healed. The whole world was amazed and followed the beast.

James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John (Jesus gave them the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder),

But Jesus turned and commanded them not to.

The second beast performed great signs. It even made fire come from heaven to earth as everyone was watching.
