On one of those days, Jesus went up onto a mountainside to pray. He spent the whole night praying to God.

One day when Jesus was praying alone and only his disciples were with him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say I am?”

When Jesus arrived at the house, he didn’t let everyone go in with him. He took only Peter, John, and James, along with the child’s father and mother.

Once the crowd was gone, he went up on a mountainside to pray.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and left the house. He went to a place where he could be alone and pray.

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, with loud cries and tears he prayed to and pleaded with the God who could save him from death, and God listened to him because of his reverence.

This will be my third visit to you. Scripture says, “Every matter must be proved by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”

When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. Right afterwards, as he was praying, heaven was opened,

When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,

Once the crowd was gone, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was still up there alone.

But Jesus often went away to be by himself and pray.

Then Jesus went up on a mountainside and sat down with his disciples.

When we told you about the time our Lord Jesus Christ came with power, we weren’t trying to fool you by making up stories. We saw him in all his majesty with our own eyes.
