so when he heard about Jesus, he sent some of the Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his servant.

When Jesus entered Capernaum, a Roman commander came and asked him for help.

Simply as that person, I want to appeal to you on behalf of my son Onesimus. He became a son to me while I was being held in chains.

When he heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to Jesus and begged him to come and heal his son. The boy was close to death.
