The wall of the city had 12 foundations, and the names of the 12 apostles of the Lamb were written on them.

So Christ himself has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers as gifts to the church.

The apostles gathered around Jesus and told him everything they’d done and taught.

He called for the 12 disciples and began to send them out two by two, giving them authority to drive out evil spirits.

You’re a building that’s being built on the apostles and prophets as its foundation. Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone that has been laid down first

When they got back, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Here’s a list of those who were there: Peter, John, James, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
