Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, and his mother was Bathsheba, who had been Uriah’s wife.

This is the family line of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

When his parents saw him, they were shocked. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been worried about you. We’ve been looking for you everywhere.”

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We’ve found the one Moses wrote about in the Law. The prophets wrote about him too. It’s Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
